I just love that everybody has a different reason to dislike Drake.

My fav reason people dislike Drake for is the idea that he is an actor playin the role of a rapper for the last 15 years. Like what type of method acting is that.

like a lot of his music in the span of his career but s*** been mid since Scorpion tbh
Doesn't help that he's still trying to be something he's clearly not, and acting like a complete cornball since he lost
It just don't connect the way it used to

Huge fan, shaped a lot of my music taste as a teen. Forever thankful for the soundtracks

  • Jul 23, 2025

Kinda. I mostly enjoyed everything up to and including More Life, then things got a bit shaky. FATD and the tape with PND are unquestionably his worst to me.

  • no, never liked him outside of a few songs on IYRTITL

always got phony and skeevy vibes from him so wasn't surprised to learn he was doing weirdo s***

also find him more annoying now than five years ago. the way he pivoted to streamers and alt right content creators to reach the youth while promoting gambling is gross

I consider him the quintessential generation z rapper, just not for me

The venn diagram of cacs who stan Drake, and cacs who want to block the Epstein file release is a circle

2011-2017 era of Drake music wise was honestly a great time. Whether it was rap, RnB, or Pop, he would deliver some sort of catchy tune that would be one of the hottest songs of the year. I have a bunch of Drake songs from that timeframe in plenty of playlists. The guy KNOWS how to make a really catchy song.
2018 to now though? He really just doesn’t have his heart in it anymore, as each release gets lazier and lazier.

But him as a person and what he represents in the genre? The guy has been a cornball for a long ass time, pretty much from the start. Playing victim, the fake accents, the biting, the handling of OVO artists, the tough guy act and acting like a street dude, hiding his child, shaming his baby momma, talking about other people wives/girls, the anti-blackness, the Stake gambling, the lies, the Pharrell chain, the Push beef, the Kendrick beef and actually so much more. He is the symbol of what is wrong with rap music all wrapped into one person.

    Same sentiment

This is pretty much where I’m at

He’s got some good s*** but it’s obvious he’s been phoning it in the last couple of years and his ego combined with lying about getting help musically is just off putting
