Jus curious to see who is all masochists here lmao.

Me personally, if we’re going on the average that most games have Easy, Medium, Hard, and Very Hard (Or Expert, Master, Veteran, whatever it’s called in the individual game.), I usually play jus the regular Hard setting. This is the best way to insure a challenge without game ruining rage quitting stupid difficulty. Easy is so easy it ruins the game in a different way, Medium is usually not much better, but Hard is that sweet spot. The hardest usually ruins the game, especially depending on the individual game.

I have beat games on the hardest difficulty, only EVER for trophy purposes (For instance I did all of the Uncharteds on Crushing.), and while they were doable and I was able to ultimately finish them, the stupid amount of unfair difficulty did not enhance the experience and actually did the opposite so it didn’t really feel rewarding that I was able to pull it off either lmao.

Nah I play on whatever the 'normal' difficulty is. It doesn't mean I dont like difficulty, it's just when I'm given an option I'm gonna go for the middle ground and hope it's the perfect balance between fun and challenge. I do love hard games though, it's just when given a choice of difficulty options I'm not gonna go out of my way to pick the hardest

    Never did

  • Dec 23, 2019

sometimes when I feel like it, games tend to become too easy on normal difficulties

  • Dec 23, 2019

normal or hard. I don't tend to go for the highest difficulty after hard cause I don't know how much effort devs actually put in balancing the game around that difficulty.

just in games im very good at but when im on my first playthrough i usually play normal

I always do unless the difficulty just adds stupid amounts of health to enemies, cause that's just tedious not hard. Skyrim did that s*** and I hated it. F*** outta here with crabs and bandits taking 50 stabs to the face to kill.

But proper difficulty settings like RE2 Hardcore or Halo Legendary... those are fun.

  • Dec 23, 2019

Depends. Most games have difficulty options that just change things to make the game more tedious rather than more challenging.

But I also don’t want to just steamroll through everything so I end up going with a higher difficulty than normal more often than not.

    Ηell no.
    1) I don't wanna break my Xbox yet.
    2) I don't want to be put in an asylum for anger issues. Yet.

I start normal&& if the game is worth playing again, i bump the diff. I like challenge, you get to understand the limits of both the gameplay && ur self. You start to understand what the game devs was thinking. If the game is good , you trully appreciate it.

  • Dec 24, 2019

    Depends on the game.

Like Persona 5 on it’s hardest difficulty, hell no

  • Dec 24, 2019

Yeah I get bored too fast if I play on normal

  • Dec 24, 2019

Nah I play games to relax not for a challenge. So normal

  • Dec 24, 2019

I go one level up from the normal setting

  • Dec 24, 2019

Depends on if there’s unlockables or achievements if so then yes

  • Dec 24, 2019

Usually on normal, enough for it to not be a walk in the park but not so hard that I’m screaming

  • Dec 24, 2019

    If it's a fps hard

    If rpg normal lol

Idk what else there is tbh

??? It’s to make the game an actual stimulating challenge instead of easy where it’s mindless and you can blaze through everything easily with no challenge
