Cafe can be distracting, though. If your anxiety or social anxiety is raging, it's a horrible environment to be in as well.

cafes/libraries but i cant sit across from anyone or i'll be distracted. studying at home is nice but it takes me longer to get stuff done

Im at home doing a 4 page essay, I havent started and its duein 4 hours

I need to be in a library or some kind of study cubicle space, cafes won’t work either cuz there’s too many cute girls distracting me

Deep in the library where there's no one else and you're just surrounded by books but you're not at home so you feel obligated to eventually get something done

This. When I have people around me or in front of me, I get distracted. There's this added anxiety of feeling judged as well. Studying or getting work done with a friend or classmate at a cafe can be great, though.

i just need to work with people

My desk and chair are so uncomfortable, so I usually just end up sitting on my bed with the laptop. Stuff's horrible for posture and makes me feel unmotivated.

Cafes are cool, but I end up getting distracted and anxious due to what's going on around me.

I also talk to myself out loud like an insane person when I study by myself so I kind of need to be isolated or around other weirdos lol

real I do this s*** too. feel like a f***ing psycho every time but it helps a lot lmao

Home can be too cozy ykwim, meanwhile studying someplace else and you have this certain level of awareness and that helps you stay focused

I used to study in public a lot but now I mainly go home

I go to the library to study and do homework. At home it’s too easy to get distracted. At a cafe it’s too noisy and distracting for me. At a library it’s peaceful and quiet. Also going out somewhere to study/do homework is more of a commitment to get something done.

Home is cozy due to the personal vibe it has.

Studying at a cafe or some other place makes me feel like I'm part of a culture or an event, which is also cool. You can cafe-hop (go to one cafe after another) to make things interesting, too.

study in cafes used to be so goat esp w your gf/bf.. easier for me to focus on public cause I don’t want to look like I’m goofing off n s*** and Starbucks WiFi too s***ty to even use (at least 10yrs ago lol) miss when all I had to worry about was test scores

nah classes, just couldn't be bothered to study in libraries anymore even though i knew i studied better in em

i started to enjoy the assignments more though, interestingly. being able to make a salmon bagel in the middle of a reading makes reading a lot more enjoyable
