Honestly no
Not until I do something memorable or worthwhile to help/impact the world until then I feel like I’m a useless failure
Yeah they were special........in music. Everybody is special in something, what’s inherently different about specializing in music?
Nothing and I didn’t imply that. Those were the first few examples that came to my mind, and with this being a music oriented forum, that isn’t surprising. In another comment I mentioned Isaac Newton. Everybody is special at something, can you definitively prove that to be true? Now you can say everyone can be “good” at something, since that just requires time to be put in in order to become proficient. However being good =\= special.

Yeah in retrospect you didn’t imply that, so if you thought I was coming for you my b. I just absolutely hate how our society seems to elevate talent in entertainment over all else.

No, that’s fine. I feel we do put an underserved amount of importance in entertainment and we overpay and overvalue entertainers all the time.
I like to think we all special and play an important role in this world in different ways, and I know it sounds corny
Eh everyone's got unique talents and everyone has the choice to use them. I think I'm special but I'll never be above anyone.
to me, someone is special when they have something unprecedented and valuable to offer to the world. by this definition, most people aren't special. BUT, everybody(for the most part) is an individual.

Due to personal bias, petty Puma can’t acknowledge when I make a good post — in his own gif style at that. Sad!
I want say how the f*** do you not?
Like hello, YOU are the star of the movie , that is this lifetime
Of course, convincing yourself that you are special is a positive coping mechanism for negative existential thoughts.
