    Hard is not the word
However it is a skill and also some people aren't built for it

Agreed. Its a skill and you can get better at it, but i wouldnt call it hard

Id say the idea of being permanently attached to a living being and being responsible for their wellbeing can be a major lifestyle change for people, which is hard

Put it this way. I would much MUCH rather be a stay at home parent than be the one working lol

Unless I was married to like a professional athlete or some s***. Then yea let's trade places.

If my spouse is just working a normal ass job then yea let me chill at home with the kids. Aint gonna see me complaining.

  • I would a million times be a stay at home parent than have to clock in

If you havent extensively watched a kid(s) you shouldnt have an opinion on this topic

I have watched kids extensively lmao. Anyone who has siblings has objectively watched kids extensively

I work from home and idk man. If I had a kid here, it’d be easy af to me tbh. Cleaning a house isn’t tough either

  • Mar 15, 2023

Being around kids more than 30 minutes is hard.

  • i’m sure it has some challenges like most things, but overall no, compared to its alternative

  • Mar 15, 2023

It's hard until the kid turns 5 and goes to school everyday

I dont think i specifically said you & i dont think watching your sibling for a few hours here n there while the overall responsibility, safety, legality, money planning, health, appointments/errands & overall scheduling is still on n took care of by the parent not the watching sibling

Also the sibling doesnt have to worry or plan about anything else with n beyond their simple babysitting

    In most/average cases

The average babysitting is not comparable

Depends on how many kids and how old they are

Infants to like 3 years old is f***ing horrible

this is the part ppl are missing lol

if you take into account teaching them to hand write, talk, read, etc getting a head start of other kids before going to preschool/kindergarten is huge in their development…

also being able or actually create memories and s*** with your kids. Have them experience the world and key moments with you in that early stage

on top of the expected parenting/household things

Bro, i don’t want to assume your race. But most black families or a good number of black families have older siblings watching extensively meaning cooking, cleaning after them, emotional support, homework help, etc. all that other stuff is very easy especially if your job is to literally only take care of a kid a few hours a day since kids are at school for most of the day. To me, being a stay at home parent is an easy af job

  • It damn sure isn’t easy lol

  • Mar 15, 2023

Depends on how many kids and how old they are and their personalities. But it can range from moderately tough to extremely difficult

  • Mar 15, 2023

    It definitely isn’t easy

You also do all the work for free.
