Do you think Drake sometimes ruins songs by adding the beat switch and long verse? Examples are Tsu and Rich Babby Daddy.
don't think he ruins it but sometimes feel like it'd be better to split those into two tracks
I said this in my thread

Something that I’ve been a little critical of Drake recently is the usage of beat switches. I think as a concept it’s a great tool to help narratively shift a song and change tone, but it seems like lately there is really no point to most of them, at least compared to a song like this. I think purposeful and intentional switches would help give his songs more meaning, rather than feeling like a track with multiple instrumentals : meant to just fill up space.
he ruins songs even when there's no beat switches or long verses
Midget logic is crazy

Yeah they could've been interludes
he ruins songs even when there's no beat switches or long verses
You seriously have no life lmfao always first page posting baiting for likes how sad & pathetic. You're a true prisoner of the moment cause you wouldn’t be doing this before now.
Biggest pet peeve is that these beat switches half of the time should be two separate songs
The 2nd beat often times is like a whole different idea so I don't even understand the point of the switch. Like on RBD, it just makes the song so unnecessarily long.
Camilla got it right. He tried to do that s*** on her album and she made them two separate songs
TSU switch up is great
At the very least he shouldve cut the minute of talking maybe it wouldnt feel so long
First song that comes to mind is Fair Trade, that song did not need Travis or a beat switch.

I disagree, but I f***ing hate the intro on TSU. I had the same problem with the middle of calling for you. Still great tracks but come on
At the very least he shouldve cut the minute of talking maybe it wouldnt feel so long
good point

I wouldn't say ruined (im bias because I fw with the 2nd part most times) but a lot of times it does seem very unnecessary, as it doesn't add nothing to the song and makes it way longer than needed to be
sometimes I truly feel like he doesn't give any f***s anymore, and its been a while since
At the very least he shouldve cut the minute of talking maybe it wouldnt feel so long
Now this I will agree with.
