ASAKI1. just because slavery ended does not mean its effects have ended. there are still severe, long-term repercussions that have proliferated and will continue to do so until massive change occurs.
2. just because it's possibly worse for black folk to live in other countries does not nullify or modify the racist issues we have here in the US. and there's a lot of issues.

My people were killed during WW1 and 2 and yet I'm living in the country that attacked us. I have rarely ever faced racism in my life even though there is a lot of history between us.
