When reading any book its important to think of the the moral climate & audience (sponsor) at the time, to understand how the detailing of the story may have been altered to reflect x groups ideology
You can literally go to any website and see how the various translations and editions differ from each other. And that's before you consider the chunks that were removed like the Book of Enoch
When I say altered though I mean how much changed
Saying things in a contemporary way (meaning the exact same thing that was intended) doesn’t count to me
But yes you’re right
All I know is Adam couldn’t be black because he wouldn’t share his ribs (ribs, ribs)

Old Jesus wrote on rocks with harder rocks
New modern Jesus prolly got a snap story right now
Yup changed between the different versions which have clear contradictions and passages missing too
The original Hebrew version of the Bible begins with “in a beginning” instead of “in the beginning”
Very big contextual change because it means that it’s a hypothetical happening instead of one that sets the ground for faith
Are you christian, what denomination? @op

The New Testament as it is today is very similar to the original texts. The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written in the 1st century, we know this because early church fathers like ignatius bishop of rome wrote letters in 95 AD quoting those gospels.
The parts of the New Testament that were removed, were gnostic gospels written between the 2nd and 5th centuries and not part of the original
Hell yeah, s*** comes from a time before writing lmao you ever played a game of telephone?

The Quran was written between the 6th and 7th century, after Jesus had been gone for hundreds of years, why should someone believe the Quran’s claims about Jesus over the New Testament?
The first page that was torn out said everything written before and after that page is a lie
