Book smart, but because I smoke so much I am super forgetful and sometimes lack common sense. But I'm knowledgeable.

I like to think I’m average, although the stupidity of others baffles me. I don’t think I’m superior to them, but to be honest it really amazes me how differently people’s brains work, like people you thought were cool can turn out to be very stupid. You can’t talk sense into them either because they were raised by people who are also stupid. Endless cycle of stupidity

Low-key how I feel when someone I view as really intelligent turns out to be religious. Like I feel like when you're intelligent religion just kinda becomes this laughable idea to you, or at least it would seem like it should for all the holes in it.

This is half true, being smart means being aware of all possible variables and their interactions etc. Which results in ur acceptance that you're ignorant. And vice versa. But u can be smart and also appreciate that u have a capacity to see patterns connections and just process information faster than average

I don't think I'm smart on some universal scale of intelligence. Intelligence is nonlinear like if ur in the top 80% u might b 1000% dumber than the top 98-99%

How does believing in a religion correlate with intelligence? And are you calling everyone who believes in one not intelligent?

Nah not at all. I just am always shocked when someone that I view as being highly intelligent does believe in or subscribe to religion. Just for the fact that, like I said it has a ton of holes.

Like the fact that most things from the ancient world are laughed and scoffed at, and we acknowledge many religions (like Greek gods) were made up simply as a way for early man to explain the unexplainable, yet things like Christianity are still seen as plausible despite the fact that the only reason they remain relevant is because of mass genocide and forces conversion from the churches. There are tons of incredibly intelligent people that get into religion and they're no lesser for it, but to me it always seems weird as usually expect very smart individuals to see those glaring holes and be like nah that doesn't all make sense.

Came in this thread wanting to say yes, but after seeing some of you dumbasses itt thinking they are smart, I’m not so sure anymore.
