PhlegmDope scene and I’m gonna hijack this a bit but this is the color tone and vibe I expected from the scarier/spookier parts of strange. Instead it was some candy buble gum colored s*** that just wasn’t convincing. It was more Percy Jackson and less Harry Potter and I figured they would make this movie have a more serious or sinister tone?
Like the Thor movies been good along with guardians. but a lot of this marvel stuff lately is just…not that good to me.
Lighting/atmosphere/shot location was definitely a minus for me

This was ok. Visually it was popping for sure in some places. Wish we had more action like the monster showdown at the beginning, but I guess we don't wanna scare the 8 year olds out of the theatre so much. I'm really surprised that Raimi got away with the eye gouging scene lmaoo idc if that was a monster, s*** was NUTS.
Dr strange getting impaled was also kinda brutal. Overall this was okay. The writing was meh but the visuals were cool

ElricThere were at least 3 deaths that were more gruesome than anything I can remember in HP
My brain has been going numb lately with all of the dimly lit CG finales so I needed the serotonin blast that came along with this. The tone did almost seem too light compared to how much death was flying around but it didn't bother me.
you last sentence is it for me. except it bothered me because it made it seem incongruous! so instead of being gruesome in a impactful way it just seemed gruesome in a cheap horror gore way. like it didnt hit bcus the tone wasnt there.
so even in that hary potter scene posted itt, the lighting n tone made it hit more than what was going on in strange to me. if tht makes sense..

lol idk i mean they kinda didn;t pop off into othrr popular stuff but it was good especially as it went along n got grim. buti havent watcheddit and so long and definittely laughed that they did so many reruns of it n marathons. get the bag tho
edit:they were in a bunch together even if it was the same series so that counts for something i think thts fair
