I got the exact same w some girls where I just have to give up, s*** is hella annoying. I looked into this recently and it's probably because of being exposed to loud noises too much that you begin to lose your ability to hear higher frequencies earlier and female voices are among those frequencies. That's why you can still hear most other things around you but can not understand what they're saying. Tbh it's getting a little better (or at least not worse) for me since I stopped listening to music on high volumes w headphones.
Yeah having a pair of KRK Rokits aimed directly at my ears for the past 7 years hasn’t done them any favors
yeah i feel like my hearing has been total s*** for a few years now, if im at a bar or somewhere loud i literally cant hear someone talking to me
bouta start saving up for hearing aides
Have you ever used q tips? I used them til age ~20 and thought I was going deaf til I bought an ear cleaning kit off Amazon and got hella nasty wax out of my ears. Legit felt like I was hearing s*** for the first time, regular sounds were so loud
i had issues with my ears a couple of months ago. One week my left ear felt "blocked" and the next two weeks it was my other ear. I had no idea what was going on. They also hurt and my hearing was quite weak. Doctor gave me some stuff and a couple days later i blew my nose and i thought my head exploded. Felt super dizzy and heard some f***ed noises but then all of a sudden everything was fine again
your inner ears making suction noises and then your ear feels normal again like a switch was flipped
As someone with some f***ed up earwax issues, ik how you feel OP.
They say peroxide washing it is the best thing to do. Like literally just pour peroxide in it until everything just comes out.
I’m not an ENT doctor so don’t deal with this stuff often, but yeah you just need to see a doctor irl there’s nothing we can do to help you online

Not even, got one of these bad boys off Amazon
Used ear wax softener for ~30 minutes and then cleaned my ears out with warm water in the bottle. Took like 2 or 3 days in a row doing it for dramatic effects

UPDATE
After my visit to the clinic, they advised me to head to the hospital, and two days later, I found myself there, hoping for a solution to the predicament I had shared with you all. At the hospital, they handed me ear drops to prepare for the upcoming irrigation process. Time sped by, and this week, on a Monday, I returned, only to make a startling discovery. My right ear had a foreign object stuck inside that had caused my ear to swell that it was nearly sealed shut.
Inquisitively, I questioned the medical professionals about the absence of ear pain. They explained that the symptoms had manifested themselves two weeks prior, during which I had been battling painful migraines and an overwhelming sense of weakness.
With my right ear barely functional, my left ear had valiantly overcompensated for the loss of hearing on the other side. It, too, had suffered damage during this ordeal. A heavy cloud of uncertainty hung over me as I absorbed this disheartening news.
However, the medical team got into action, carefully removing the foreign object from my right ear. They provided me with a fresh set of drops to aid in my recovery and placed a delicate bandage inside my right ear.
Today, I'm happy to report that my hearing is nearly perfect, a miraculous turnaround of almost 100%. The damage to my left ear is still apparent at about 80%, but the right ear has emerged unscathed.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE KTT DOCTORS FOR GIVING ME ALL THEIR OPINIONS AND ALL THE JOKES YOU GUYS MADE. IM SO GLAD THAT I SURVIVED A POSSIBLELY LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE AND THIS POST WILL FOREVER REMIND ME OF THAT.

ALSO TIPS FROM DOCTORS,
PROTECT YOUR EARS WHEN SLEEPING,
DO NOT USE EAR BUDS TO CLEAN YOUR EARS, YOUR BODY DOES IT AUTOMATICALLY YOU JUST HAVE TO WIPE THEM,
IF YOU HAVE EXCESS OR HARD WAX, USE OIL TO SOFTEN THE WAX OR REMOVE THE EXCESS. ALSO DO A HEARING TEST EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE ANY PENDING ISSUES.
