But imo a universe like Griselda or Slums or OF is literally what those type of threads strive best on

Griselda is an insular thing. I don’t believe that killing the community thread to discuss the scene as a whole will somehow make individual albums pop more, in fact I think it will have the opposite effect and just not allow a community on here to grow around it

The best thing about artist threads is it really allows those communities and bases to grow

So it’s a huge misfire to think that a bunch of 1 page Griselda album threads are better than a thriving community thread of people who like Griselda locking in on each project and having broader discussions about the scene

My best memories of ktt are being part of artist threads where we would all post regularly for years and developed real relationships. It’s like a town square. We had a real community where we all knew each other and each project we would look forward to talking to each other and joke on each other for our takes, in a space where we all knew we were real fans and tapped in

This overly strict view of how a forum should look eliminates that and that’s pretty sad
