Hell, sometimes even at work, depending on your job, it feels like something you kind of have to get the go ahead to do.

No. It was never really permission anyways more so just letting em know you weren’t just walking out of class

No because kids definitely abused that s***, myself included

Nah cause those kids who always asked to go to the restroom always came back 20 minutes later with Cheetos and their headphones in

Students asking to go to the bathroom is just an excuse for them to f*** around and spend their entire class time socializing with their friends at their lunch times real ones know that

Was my school the only one where teachers found it absolutely hilarious when a kid asked if they can go to the bathroom?

"Yes you can go to the bathroom, but MAY you? "

one time one of my homies asked to go the bathroom during english and straight up just left the school and never came back

In third grade, a teacher wouldn't let this guy go to the bathroom because we just had break a few minutes before. I still remember bro seated at his desk, head laying on his arms and crying loudly while everybody stopped what they were doing to watch him piss himself

Teacher probably traumatized him for years just because she wanted to feel like she has authority over a kid

Looking back on it, middle and elementary school was a lot like jail if I'd ever went there

one of those things that yea on paper seems crazy but for other users reasons above is totally valid.

Bathroom breaks would realistically just be running errands. The CVS was strategically placed next to the high school, so it would go:

• take a s*** and wash up

• exit through the school's (always) unlocked backdoor

• walk 5 feet to the CVS

• grab a large bag of Doritos and 2 liter of Sprite

• walk back into class

• teacher notices you have some snacks and just says "Hey can I have some of those chips?"

• goes back to teaching
