Having to pay $1 to wear jeans at school (middle school maybe)?

I do, but I don't remember what the purpose or context for wanting to do that was.

I think I remember doing this in a private Christian school, and even though we could already wear jeans, I was trying to remember what the point of buying the option to wear jeans like any other normal day was.

But now I'm starting to believe that maybe there was a certain day or two where slacks were the dresscode and this was an option to not wear them.

Funny thing is that I believe this happened in public schools too.
