I feel like its been like this for me forever
Im LGBTQ yet ive never gotten along with ppl from the community
As a gamer and anime nerd , the anime kids never liked me in school, i always ended up hanging with the hood niggas. And now most my friends are just average work ppl who i share no similar beliefs with
How can i change this
Yes sometimes . I work in s***work industree but i do not like to assosiate alot with the people because of the interest.
Yeah
For some reason when I find out a nigga likes something I also like I be wanting em to die

I sometimes get passionately possessive of my interests and that can be an obstacle lol
To change you gotta understand why you have this specific issue, none of us can answer that for you without more details.
Being a member of a community can be hard and requires compromise and effort just like maintaining any relationship
As for the people who didnt like you and how that may impact you today
How else would you relate & make friends without forcing it without the similarites?
Just get in where you feel good, most “average people” are in a similar place. Interests/beliefs/inner identity don’t always successfully translate to an outward-facing identity. If you’ve got friends at all you’re doing something right
sometimes. other times it's the opposite
whenever i hangout with my LGBTQ+ friends the more time i spend with them the more i slowly see that they are just pretending/trying to join in the trend. not to be homophobic because this is the same with my anime/gamer friends. every now and then catch them slipping up pretending to know something like an obscure term/reference/lingo when they clearly dont and i realize that they are not as real as they portray themselves to be. this is why i tend to be bymyself/keep a small circle.

I think that has to do with them as a person and not because being part of the community is a trend
Is lgbtq an interest? Lol isnt that more just part of who you are? Chess is an interest, watching football is. Being canadian is not an interest
I think it's maybe competition
We value our unique sides and when we meet someone that has similar interests we might feel more "common/average"
"Less is more"
The thing about being a snob is ppl think they have the best taste or the best skill in some artform, so they're extremely opinionated and ironically are less likely to agree with your taste than the average person
@op idk you might just be a d***head
