I’m sure he’s probably thought of this being a cinephile and stuff

Kissland is an obvious horror movie

Beauty Behind The Madness kinda feels like a dark mature teen movie (something like Euphoria)

Starboy is a big budget Hollywood movie with big costars

My Dear Melancholy is a small art house movie

After Hours being an obvious 80s thriller

And Trilogy obviously right there in the name

    Dope comparisons OP!

All I know is Abel’s visuals unmatchedddd

  • Yes, and I think Kiss Land and After Hours executed the cinematic feel to the highest level

i like starboy and love the era. my first one as a weeknd fan.
but he should have cut 3-4 songs and make it truly sci fi.
in the end, only few songs had that vibe (and 2 MVs)
