Stillmatic a classic but i wont lie, only reason issa classic is cuz he dissed jay z. But it do got some joints. One mic hard. You're da man. 2nd Childhood a classic just off the relatability. The flyest hard. Stillmatic intro prolly top 25 rap intro ever.

Classic joints on there but some very weak ones too, the overall sound of the beats ain’t it for me

People care about IWW. Stillmatic kind of mid tbh and overrated from the title

Braveheart Party was mid tbh but the highs in Stillmatic are just as high as Illmatic imho.

How you not gon care about something if you not a fan in the first place? make it make sense

Highs are goat but even besides that track I feel like there was some forgettable mediocre moments musically

braveheart party was removed from that album months after its release. it's not even part of the album unless you bought the first run of copies

I was too young to experience the hype(born in 96) but when I became a Nas fan I was rewinding(no pun) to his music and Braveheart Party was ironically one of the 1st songs I came across.

Good to know it wasn't on it. I love Stillmatic.

I'd put Lost Tapes and Distant Relatives above Stillmatic for the record

i didn't even know that existed until the late 2000's when i checked wikipedia. i was thankful that it was removed at mary j blige's request. she did the right thing because i know she regrets even being part of that bullshit

Don't agree with DR but Lost Tapes has some of his greatest songwriting so I can cosign that.

    For me the ranking goes:

    Illmatic
    IWW
    Stillmatic/Lost tapes tied
    God's Son
    LIG
    DR
    I Am
    Lost tapes 2
    King's Dead
    HHID
    Untitled
    SD
    Nastradamus
    Nasir

Soooooooooooo many rappers have cited IWW as an influence it's not even funny. Pac and 50 even crafted songs influenced by I Gave You Power("Me and My Girlfriend" and "Baltimore Love Thing.")

And Stillmatic got 5 mics and is the reason everyone says "ether."

Anyone who's a fan of rap cares about these albums bro.

Many people have cited iww as an influence, lupe, 50, the game, schoolboy Q, etc. And a lot people say it's his 2nd best or even best album.

Stillmatic has songs like ether, one mic, you da man, rewind which are some of nas most iconic songs.

    And they're both double plat

I'd say the average/casual Rap cares more about those two than Illmatic lol
