sometimes when i was younger i would take 30-45 minute showers but now that I pay my own water bill I'm not taking anywhere near that long lol

over time long showers remove natural oils from the skin. causes them to be more susceptible to damage/weakening in the skin barrier. less moisture is retained in the skin and cracks become more common allowing entry for bacteria, etc.
