“Old money, new hoes”, a song about the middle class (represented by farmers) rising up against the establishment (old money) with the virtual tools that unite us from hundreds of miles apart, the new ‘hoes’, which allow us to uproot the weeds of capitalism. New ‘flows’ represent new flows or ‘streams’ of information that create educational equity which allow this uprising. “My chain too cold, chandelier”, yet another pierce of imagery - wealth inequality is no longer just a nice house with well done architecture, we wear it around our necks. Since we can visualize the capitalist pigs easier due to their upper class appearance they present themselves with, we can target them easier and rise up.
carter’s “die lit” echoes huey p newton’s “revolutionary suicide”, recontextualizing the latter title for a 21st century audience
