No one knows the whole carnival song either
People know:
The hook
Ye’s verse
Carti’s verse
That’s borderline the entire song
Is your song really a hit if people only know the first 30 seconds?
Look at Sicko Mode, it’s 6 minutes and people know word for word the entire song.
It’s not changing the goalposts at all, you asked me a question and I gave you a detailed answer
We really finna sit here and act like the biggest part of Sicko mode wasn’t the transition
Yeah niggas just know the WHOLE song right
well, that’s rude.
i don’t talk to you like that.
My bad its all love
We really finna sit here and act like the biggest part of Sicko mode wasn’t the transition
Yeah niggas just know the WHOLE song right
I’ve been in many settings where I’ve seen numerous people go word for word that entire song
Nobody lol
Real take
I’ve been in many settings where I’ve seen numerous people go word for word that entire song
I’ll definitely take your anecdotal evidence as fact.

There are very few songs most rap fans know the full thing for one being dreams and nightmares.
I’ll definitely take your anecdotal evidence as fact.
Is any argument you make not based on anecdotal evidence as well?

I mean Jimmy Cooks has the numbers to back it up, it was pretty big.
Which is why I mentioned it.
Most songs that are “mega hits” are just either viral in social media or had heavy promo or a combination of both anyway
@edumist too slow
Drake "fell off" but everyone still hangs on to everything he says and does
Drake went on Kick and barely got 100k viewers.
Carti went on Kick and had 500k viewers before he even showed face.
he can still make stuff that i find great (like on FATD, i love BBL Love, Drew A Picasso, Bahamas Promises, whatever) but as an entire project just no lol
i feel the same way about Views onward (although Views had a lot more gems than basically most of his stuff since that album)
honestly nevermind is one of my favorite albums of his tbh
Drake went on Kick and barely got 100k viewers.
Carti went on Kick and had 500k viewers before he even showed face.
Let’s be real. What drake is mainly relevant for nowadays are the memes calling him zesty. His last two album releases the main moments of virality were things clowning him. “21 do something for me” “money for fun☝️🤓”
it’s crazy cause they genuinely never wanna discuss the actual content and artistic merit of the projects
it’s always “well it had hits and sold high in the first week”
they’re a stones throw away from Taylor Swift stans idgi
I said it in the sales thread. These people need to pick up a sport to watch or something.
They don’t gaf about the actual art behind it. Just the stats they can use to prove why their favorite artist is the best

Carti went on Kick and had 500k viewers before he even showed face.
Would Carnival be #1 without Carti?
Would Carnival be #1 without Carti?
I love Kanye but no it wouldn’t
I highly doubt any solo Kanye song would go #1 nowadays
Ye is definitely riding off carti wave since donda
Prime drake didn’t need j cole, lil durk, and wayne on tour, and the shows ain’t even getting close to selling out. He used to sell out tours on his own
Would Carnival be #1 without Carti?
Obviously not. But some weirdos think he’s the worst part of the song
For me, Rich Flex is definitely big, but it feels like people just know the hook at the beginning. Every time I’m out and that song gets played, it gets switched as soon as 21’s verse starts, all the momentum stops, and the second half never gets played at all.
Just Wanna Rock always gets the full spin though and people go crazy, doing the dance and everything
Just wanna rock is like a minute long lol
And if this what ur using as criteria then how is bad habit a mega hit when there's concert footage of people at his tour only knowing the hook
