Is there something inherently wrong with parents giving their kids opportunities? I think Hip Hop becoming the mainstream dominant genre has tricked people into thinking every artist has a rags to riches story, and I think it gets worse when these “Indie kids” pretend to be poor, but I don’t think they would pretend if being poor and having a Cinderella story wasn’t a successful marketing gimmick
only if it’s their uncle
not really. We all wish we had that so I don't see why I should hate on someone who got it. Maybe if they abuse it like doing OTT kind of promo

That’s it right there. But it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme. Is the music good? Cause lemme tell you something bucko, most real “plants” we don’t hear about cause they weren’t watered correctly/didn’t have raw talent and just had a ‘look’
only if it’s their uncle
Finding out who Clairo’s uncle was left me floored no life alert
No.
Although I guess it might ruin the image if it’s blatantly contradictory to who they claim to be
But then again I assume most are lying anyway
It kind of makes sense considering a lot of people don't have the privilege to pursue music as a career
Obviously the fact that connections matter so much in this world is a little depressing (but that goes for everything not just music) but at the end of the day it's do u like the music or not
