    Classique

the time between now and his last album was longer than the time between hovs retirement and comeback albums

Even in Hov's retirements, we still got Numb/Encore and D*** Dealers Anonymous.

    ???

Kendrick's one of the few artists who can compete with Drake commercially.

He retired and is a devout Hebrew Israelite father that follows the commandments and lives a sovereign life in some obscure place in the west coast.

I think Drake would outshine him, his music is just easier to listen to for most people. He also does better on the charts.

I don't like Kendrick, so I don't really see the appeal anymore, I'm more of a S80/GKMC fan.

Yeah Drake might outshine him but he won't hurt his momentum after his hiatus.

Kendrick's comeback will widely anticipated like Frank when Blonde dropped.

And yeah...I don't think Kendrick's ever gonna go back to his S80/GKMC roots after those rave reviews of TPAB/DAMN. He's gonna keep going the experimental route for better or worse.

Now I don't even like his voice. Just like Wayne always trying to sound like aliens now lol

Will check it out of respect though since GKMC is one of my favorite albums of all time and I love the stuff he was doing before it.

    Note: This is inside information.

Kendrick's working on an experimental double album centered around the adventures of King Kunta with each adventure being a metaphor for current events and social issues.

It's produced by Kevin Parker and has feats from Baby Keem, Earl Sweatshirt, Black Thought, Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, Anderson Paak, Fiona Apple, and SZA.

    Should be a classic.

Black Panther was 2018 & he still does feats from time to time it really aint that serious bro lol

It's not that hard, it's just Drake, Kendrick and Cole, it's been like that for a decade. The only one close to them is Travis.

Seems pretty hard to me when 90% cant even do a quarter of it lol.

And kendrick isnt even that far behind either lol, DAMN numbers were crazy. Actually, his numbers have always been crazy since GKMC aside from UU.

You not being a modern sounds like you have huge negative bias & undermining the s*** out of his actual success numbers wise & general popularity lol.

I just didn't enjoy his albums after GKMC. And I tried hard lol cause he seems like a pretty cool guy.

‘Its Drakes time’ is flawed logic cos DAMN. came right after More Life. Touring is the only reason, he was gonna do every festival last year and is simply waiting to see Covids effect for this summer
