    Eminem broke the race barrier that was in hip hop post-Vanilla Ice imo.

    If Em didnt exist none of these White Rappers, even the good ones that the Culture approves of (Mac, Bronson, etc.), would have been as easily accepted into the culture.

    I dont want to say "he walked so future white rappers could run" but he kinda did, whether thats a good or bad thing is another discussion but he did change the game from a racial standpoint.
