As a doctor she should be giving you advices based on her formal education, not her personal interests.

If they just find it interesting and see it as something to read up on for fun, it's no biggie. If they use it as entertainment and joke about it as a conversational topic, it's no problem.

If they actually believe in it, it's quite annoying. I'm going to be wary about them because... If they're going to assume your entire personality based on this, they might as well believe in racial stereotypes, too.
