someone just posted a thread about the songs from Kendrick's new album not really making the cut for his upcoming shows this year.
Do you think an artist who has a fanbase that loves their catalog should mostly play new tracks for tour (letting down longtime fans) or would you want them to fill the set with tried and true "crowd pleasers" and pretty much just add a couple cuts from the newer works for the people who appreciate their new stuff?
additionally does this change how you hear the new music knowing that the artist would not perform it on tour in favor of their old songs?
it means that kendrick has a discog full of classics
does he even like the album?
It's 20 songs and 5 are from the new album. He has 4 albums
mathematician sherm on the case
7 gkmc songs back to back
imagine having to play over half your debut album before letting fans hear new stuff
no ADHD??
kendrick could switch every DAMN and Mr Morale track for S80 and UU songs and it would be a much better setlist honestly
If you are touring a specific album, you should perform a good amount of songs from the album it is in promotion of
Festival shows or one-off shows can be different

4*
one is just the instrumental apparently

Even without it there's only 3 less songs than GKMC has on the setlist, seems fine

This is the Morales tour though?

thats true. Maybe it just seems like he's not really pushing the new album with the set because the new tracks are all split up and not bunched together. and one is an instrumental
