Ferg could never in his wildest dreams come close to Qs level of buzz. Q was a legitimate tier 2 star in hip hop during the Oxymoron era.
everyone was tier 2. means nothing the only difference is those who are tier 1 get more streams and income opportunities than they did before
CrasH Talk wasn’t all bad though.
Numb Numb Juice, Dangerous, CrasH and Attention are all excellent songs.
F***ing thank you. Dangerous and Attention are two of the realest songs ever made.

Idk what you mean. Q was in the same tier as Wale, Sean, A$AP, Mac etc at that time. I like Ferg but his albums did Ace Hood numbers.
Schoolboy Q is like the buddy you had in high school
Y'all were tight, had great inside jokes, spent late nights hanging out
then it's like you go to college and dropped a full thesis (To Pimp a Butterfly) and a few years goes by and Q hits you up like "Yoooo what's happening my dude let's get together like the old days"
F***ing thank you. Dangerous and Attention are two of the realest songs ever made.
It wasn’t a good album but it’s not Revival/SBTH/Big Day/Khaled Khaled bad.
CrasH Talk wasn’t all bad though.

facts
Crash Talk showed how he wasnt really passionate about it. I think he just wants to be around his daughter in his mansion and live his life and hates making music now.
I will never forgive him for Chopstiiix chop chop
I think it was his worst project, but had some of his best songs ever. So yeah I do think he cares and enjoys it. But I also feel like he was unfocused. Didn't his good friend die while he was making it? Mac Miller? I am giving him another shot to change my mind because his first two studio albums were great in my opinion.

Macs tragic passing didn’t damper the creative aspect of the album at all, considering he heard the entire album and added adlibs to CrasH.
He impacted the rollout. Album was supposed to drop in November, but Q was devastated and wasn’t ready to go into radio stations and be asked about Mac first thing.
I’d love a new Q album
Same. Q missed once after having 3 great back to back to back albums and people act like he’ll never drop another great album again.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't know. I still think he has another good/great album in him especially after the backlash from this one.

He most definitely does. Every single feature he’s dropped since CrasH Talk has been good-great.
It wasn’t a good album but it’s not Revival/SBTH/Big Day/Khaled Khaled bad.
It has more good songs than not, they just don't fit together at all. If it was a teaser/mixtape to build hype for the album it would have been a nice little project.
niggas just be making up s***. This level of crazy is unprecedented
When I see a thread like this I'm reminded some people don't listen to and pay attention to the actual music.
One bad album doesn't mean he doesnt care bout making music anymore lol he was going through a lot between blank face and crash talk
It’s kinda ridiculous too cuz basically rap groups don’t work anymore
Like ASAP completely fell off and it was always the Rocky show. Ferg was the Schoolboy Q tier guy with some buzz
TDE too, like all the internet nerds can pretend Ab Soul and Jay Rock were relevant but they never rlly were
Rap collectives just don’t work Drake dropped OVO so fast, GOOD music pretty much fell apart. YMCMB done, it’s just about one artist that makes a name rlly
Tell that to Griselda
Tell that to Griselda
I've been noticing a little tension between those three regarding the varied levels of success. I hope there's no major split, my favorite collective right now.

Naa they good I think. Reason was on the Joe budden podcast talking about it if I'm not mistaken. There was tension but like for no reason think it's squashed
