TubigI’ll say this. The metaphor doesn’t even work. It’s stupid. Naming this song balut was dumb. Misrepresenting another people’s culture to make them look more uncivilized, for profit even, is wrong.
That’s all there is to it. Like whats there to even defend? It’s not like they’re trying to “cancel” her. They’re just calling her out on her stupid s***. And mfers are so fragile these days that they have to rush to defend any sort of criticism so they can try to feel morally and intellectually superior to some birds on Twitter.

I think she knows that the dish isn't literally a bird being eaten alive. Based on the quote, she's just explaining the meaning of the song. She just used Balut since it's a dish where the whole body of a baby bird is cooked while still "alive" and eaten

They dont do it while alive.
They kill them instantly then chuck them in right away (they have to be cooked while alove or right when they die because they spoil incredibly fast if dead for longer than a minute and why youre suppose to let them know if a lobster tank has any dead lobs in it because its really dangerous).
