Mental illness the whole lot of them genuinely
And what’s funny is, the same thing essentially goes on here, just with males and male artists

He just won the Pulitzer Prize, he doesn’t care about attention like that

How you write a review and barely spend time talking about the music? Spent more time talking about her contemporaries and controversies.
It's obvious
This might be an unorthodox opinion around here, but as long as the writing is good, I genuinely think critics can do anything they want. They don't owe fans anything.
Read any of Craig's reviews. He spends time placing artists in context--in terms of musical and social history. The amount of space he devotes to Doja Cat's music is the same as with virtually any artist.
More proof that these reviews don’t mean s***:

“And many of the tracks on Planet Her recall Ariana Grande—primarily her thank u, next or Positions eras, where her and her high ponytail dominated the charts with hip-hop-infused, h****-as-hell pop grooves. As successful these influences are, it presents problems for Doja Cat, because she didn’t pioneer these now-popularized sounds, just copy and pasted them”
So Ariana Grande pioneered hip hop infused pop? Sounds very anti-black
Hahahahaha I’m not going for that
Doja been doing this forever she just didn’t land on a specific style until this album
i'm hoping this album really helps me see the light on Doja.
you like Kiss Me Now?
you like Kiss Me Now?
it's not bad but nah not really. i think Need To Know is a little better than Kiss Me More.
Funny, I hate most music that reaches my ears these days but her s***’s really good despite being pop. She can sing and rap. Unapologetic. Knows music.
I can’t believe I’m actually Anticipating the next Doja Cat album.

You cant have a conversation on KTT1 or 2 about the art of critique, its true purpose, how it differs from just "any ol opinion", how it doesnt have to change your own opinion & those critics that do it for real and those that do it for hype.
They dont want to hear it if you aint d***riding what they personally like no mater what lol.
