Honestly, I was expecting a bit more freshness and an unconventional route from his debut. The project had some highlights but fell short, this was his chance to set himself apart from the generic, cookie cutter indie pop artists (nothing wrong with that) and go that Frank Ocean route with a “Nostalgia Ultra” esque project but we got a pretty standard body of work.

Chicken Tenders is a solid pop tune for the summer. Although, “Florida” and “Politics Violence” show me he can take that experimental road and switch it up if he wants too.
