like im open to hearing the arguments against "innocent until proven guilty" but its not at all making sense the way its being explained
The argument isn’t that Don is guilty until he’s proven innocent it’s that actually only about 5-10% at most of rape allegations are false and that by saying innocent until proven guilty you’re saying that she’s lying about being raped
Just be neutral on it at least until you have more context to see how you feel about it

I mean that’s cause there isn’t an alternative
That’s why people post online and try and spread awareness about the people who assaulted them - to try and create some level of accountability that they can’t get elsewhere
Obviously it’s not the ideal solution but it’s what happens when there aren’t legitimate options available
So we got two options
A. Report it and take the chance that it leads to an arrest/incarceration/anything
B. Do nothing, meaning theres 100% chance that person faces no consequences, and is free to probably do it to somebody else.

Yes,women do make s*** up sometimes and niggas have falsely gone to jail for it but how can that compare to actual cases and cases that have been brought to police and ignored? If you can’t see that the system will more often than not side with accused,at this point idk

yeah i agree with u but it seems like a lot of people have made up their mind one way or another which is confusing to me
actually nvm I disagree with that second line, i dont think "innocent until proven guilty" means the accuser is lying. or at least thats not what the principle is there to do/say
