People say false accusations are rare and whatnot but

1. That's hard to quantify
2. The likelihood is probably higher if you are a celebrity
3. What someone sees as rape might not actually be rape, there are enough cases of people feeling regret after an encounter and then saying it was rape even though at the moment of intercourse consent existed (you cannot revoke consent after the deed is done)
4. Even if the likelihood is low, everybody deserves a fair chance

In this day and age, you could at the very least prove online contact with that person, show screenshots, in the case of a celebrity also show hotel data, flight data

A certain degree of vagueness is always there because sexual relations can happen in a bedroom with no witnesses, so it boils down to he-say-she-say, but I don't see why humanity should abandon principles we had for centuries and had to fight for (innocent until proven guilty)

Overall, people rushing to accuse others of loserdom et cetera really are just as dumb as those who automatically assume nothing could have happened and that it's an open & shut case. You gotta hear both sides out first.
