I don’t think I’ve ever heard a single good thing about Atlantic as a label. I don’t know why artists sign to them man. Maybe the upfront $ is just too good to turn down.
Question
How many faking they streams? (A lot)
Getting they plays from machines? (A lot)
I can see behind the smoke and mirrors
Niggas ain't really big as they seem (Hmm)
I never say anything (Nah), everybody got they thing (True)
Some niggas make millions, other niggas make memes (Hmm)

It's life changing money if you got nothing tbh which sucks because it doesn't seem to be worth it

I totally understand why they sign. Short term it’s life changing and feels like you’ve finally made it. But some artists think they’re set and don’t play the long game successfully.
They mad at the label for actually trying to make their numbers look good?
I don’t even see how a lawsuit would work tbh. I’m pretty sure in the contracts they agree a label can market and promote their music in any way they deem suitable

Makes no sense tho cuz Don was Cactus Jack first and had a LOT of leverage to sign with a better label like Epic or Interscope
Sheck is under Interscope and Travis/Cactus Jack is under Epic. Way more room to go
Wait until Atlantic gets outted for paying for them first Cardi album reviews

They can argue that it isn't marketing and bitting so blatantly would hurt the bottom line for the artist

Why you always got smoke for Cardi in every thread i can only tolerate 1 person doing this smh

YouTube can recognize when views are botted and it pushes the content further down the algorithm

This along the lines of paying radio, paying for playlist placement, etc. So that’s why it’s throwing me off they getting mad at this when they are probably silent on that other stuff that is similar. They just embarrassed it was made blatant

Sounds like some PR s*** they say just to discourage bots lmao. Having flop views also places stuff low on algorithms so it’s kinda a lose lose for them regardless

I’ve seen multiple YouTubers say this so I doubt that it’s cap
Where in that article does it say Toliver is planning on suing the label?
“ Meanwhile, a source close to the situation tells Complex that Toliver and other artists are thinking of filing a lawsuit against Atlantic.”
Read instead of Ctrl F 👍🏾

Realized that the massive block of ads in the middle made me think the article was done
