I barely give a s*** about what happened on Jan 6th, they got in there and just stood around. It was basically a MAGA adult playdate
But anyone arguing that Trump’s actions were legally fine are just being willfully obtuse. He’s been doing illegal s*** for his whole career, he deserves an indictment over something
I mean that’s because they couldn’t find the members of congress but agree with the second part obviously
And the stolen election narrative immediately falls apart when presented with emails/texts/calls from the Trump Admin and Fox News people acknowledging it’s all bullshit. Fox even paid like $800M to the voting machine company they railed against on air
But still a large majority of Republicans still believe it was stolen, even after shown the evidence or corrections issued by Fox. It’s all just vibes-based willful ignorance
Notice that none of the indictments against Trump are for any of the illegal actions he did as president. It’s campaign stuff and things 14 days before his term was was over.
Calls from the right to indict Biden or Obama or Hillary or Bill are all correct. All modern presidents are criminals who kill the innocent or force the poor into increased precariousness, but those charges will never come because our whole mode of production requires that.

"14 days before his term was over"... so in other words, it is for "illegal actions he did as president"? you saying you dont think he was trying to use his power as president for this stuff or what? idgi
3 indictments for a leading presidential candidate is crazy
and it's not over yet Fani Willis still on his ass

I’m saying that they’ll never indict a president for the much graver crimes that they all do. It’s all just business as usual
The fact the GOP wants to nominate this guy just shows their dying party. Even where I used to live (which was a somewhat purple state) is expecting to flip for 2024. This guy infected the f***ing GOP and ruined their party.

Ain’t over yet. The voters are still very much behind him

That’s the good outcome. DeSantis is worse.

He most likely won’t get the nomination. I expect the GOP to still somehow elect Trump for GE even from prison/house arrest and from there I think he has no chance. (Unless full on market collapse)
If DeSantis somehow wins because of that, he probably has little chance in the general given the circus around the GOP that will cause.
