this s*** went crazy in college
i just know he was getting groovy with the hoes
I dont wanna hear nobodys opinion on bryson tiller if you havent heard Anniversary and self titled all the way through
If you have, and still think bro has only 2 good songs? Hate away. fine lol

I just wanna know does he have a song doing s*** like this.
Simple yes or no question dawg.
Yall gotta kinda chill with the Brent slander just a little bit just off the strength of Sonder and Let Me Know (one of the best r&b songs of this decade)
Crazy entire perception of his artistry changes if he/his team did ANYTHING with that song. But nah keep the “cool” image instead that’s been having male r&b in a chokehold.
Ay dios mio
I just wanna know does he have a song doing s*** like this.
Simple yes or no question dawg.
One: im not the one calling anybody a legend
Two: I dont consider Bryson traditional r&b but a subgenre
Three: Hi hater
I just wanna know does he have a song doing s*** like this.
Simple yes or no question dawg.
Attempting to tear down Tiller to prop up BRENT of all people, is wild 💀

All these words is a weird way to answer a yes or no question

that's what i'm saying
Did not think it was a hot take to say Brent Faiyaz makes better music than Bryson Tiller....but aye only on KTT I guess.

Brent does contribute to the problem but he is definitely better than bry
Bryson tiller, partynextdoor, Tory lanez, 6lack, Brent faiyaz - all are them are MID compared to 90s and early 2000s rnb

I agree about Brent being a lil better than Bryson tiller though.

Correct.
Whats yalls thoughts on Giveon? His album this year was nice, throwback old school/soul sound

I bump Backup Plan a lot. Besides that I prefer his previous albums
Don’t & Exchange in 2015 with crisp AF1s, a bomber jacket, ovo sweatshirt and nike dad hat was an unbeatable combo
You over did it wit the OVO sweatshirt
Niggas wasn’t rockin that
It’s been a decade and ktt still can’t get over the fact that Bryson completely lapped PND that year
Ima Party Stan but commercially yeah this song did lap him. But BFT>>>>>
Plus wouldn’t be Bryson without niggas like Party (and Drake). Bryson’s whole swag was them niggas. Down to the nose ring and introversion.
they gonna start calling fetty wap a legend
Paterson, NJ legend fs step lightly gang. Fetty got it poppin 2014/2015. (I haven’t streamed any music he’s dropped since)
its funny to me that all that performance on how bad u think bryson is and ur example of other artists that blow him out of the water is brent faiyaz lol
I like both and do think brent fits in the traditional r&b mold a little better but hes got his flaws too the music being quiet af for one
Yeah niggas lost me wit that even tho I also love his work wit Sonder and some of his solo joint. But they are on the same side of the r&b spectrum except instead of trap drums it’s a “neo soul” drum kit over those same sounds.
Except they're have been plenty of outstanding hip-hop/rap and R&B collaborations since the 80s...
Don't blame rap for "ruining" R&B when it's these wack ass artists who are terrible at doing both.
You right… but I think there is a line between rap and r&b collabing and the r&b niggas wanting to be rappers and it influencing the sound. Idk if I articulated that correctly. But that’s how I view things

it makes sense to me. i also think its a good point that people have made to say this is predominantly existing in a Post-Drake landscape
Bryson tiller, partynextdoor, Tory lanez, 6lack, Brent faiyaz - all are them are MID compared to 90s and early 2000s rnb
They love all the niggas you listed on here lol

I def think.. even tho I enjoy the sound we’ve had too much of the trap/rap and r&b hybrid. But it’s a testament to the era of artistry we are in. Niggas is blowing up from just recording off their phones now.
Not saying there isn’t talent out there there will always be but there is no longer any real rules or gatekeeping wit this s*** maybe to a detriment
They love all the niggas you listed on here lol
Ravyn Lenae clears all of them and most of the 90s/2000s acts
