the game is dark souls 3, an infamously difficult but equally as satisfying rpg game.

the dark souls series is probably the most influential in gaming and pretty much redefined third person action games. games such as god of war 2018 and the last star wars game are very heavily influenced by the combat of dark souls.

the game doesn't hold your hand, there is no tutorial or training wheels - you start the game in a random as f*** place and have to figure everything out yourself. if you die in the game it's literally your fault, you either dodged to early/late or got too greedy. the lore is also meticulously written and there's a specific story being told across all 3 dark souls game.

the game has a cult following and for the most part, the reason people even play and enjoy souls game is the satisfying gameplay, rewarding exploration, and passive story that isn't shoved in your face
