Also falling off doesn't mean people stop playing your old great music. It means your recent output is not as good or popular as your older stuff

Eminem for example. Nobody would dare say he's as good as he used to be but he still doing numbers

    You bozos

this isn't really happening with Drake as much as people think though, that's the thing

Falling off is just a perception thing.

Niggas said Baby fell off and he sold 130k in times where half the industry was barely crackin 50k.

    It's definitely happening though

The question is whether that's because of a general decline in hip hop sales or because people just don't fw it.

As for quality, that's subjective so I won't get into it.

There's a fall off but people are acting like his new albums are doing less than half of his older stuff, which is only true if you compare to Scorpion/Views, both of which weren't really hiphop albums like FATD/CLB

It’s also filtered by total streams. Check the daily streams column. FATD is out streaming everything except views 😂

Now we’re redefining what it means to be a Hip Hop album

With the same albums being listed multiple times at different streaming numbers, are those incorrect and just the highest one of them is correct? NWTS is shown 3 times at 1.09 million, 1.04 million, and .92 million. Was it streamed 3.05 million times, or 1.09 million?

  • the top half of whatever accounts for all those numbers are 10 year old pop songs being played in Brazil

    hope this helps🤍

    Clean and explicit

    For the sample of NWTS:
    Clean Deluxe
    Explicit Deluxe
    Explicit

    You count them all

A chart with no info on dates or anything. Real talk, we gonna need more info than what the pic shows to have an informed discussion crodie.

Show me the same chart with data from this week please

(And i thought fatd scary hours was different to his last album tbh, my bad)

    Sorted by daily, Jan 27th

  • reading any Spotify related title as an AM solider

Huh that’s interesting ktt was just telling me yesterday a certain rapper was carrying hip hop but he has less streams than drake

Drake has had 0 hits in the past year

    Kendrick has had..

    Euphoria
    Not Like Us
    Like That
    Luther
    Squabble Up
    30 For 30
    Peekaboo
    TV Off

If that case, then the daily streams would be:

    Take Care - 6.1 million

Certified Lover Boy - 4.8 million

    NWTS - 3 million

Views - 2.9 million (possibly more with different versions not shown here)

    Her Loss - 2.9 million

FATD - 2.7 million (presumably more with different versions not shown here)

    Scorpion - 2.4 million

But I’m questioning if that is for sure how it’s counted because the total streams would seemingly be different. Like, on Kendrick’s chart GKMC is listed 6 different times and the total streams would add up to over 30 billion streams which sounds wildly high

  • chili

wait does this mean he received 1 billion streams in 2025 or he reached the milestone of getting 1 billion total streams

1 billion total streams. took him 17 years but still a great accomplishment

  • zenirama

    Drake isn’t hip hop

No I have no idea. I assume from the picture that that’s how it works. Hopefully someone from the chart thread can help
