Makes me kinda sad that these tracks aren't getting any hype. You can tell they really tried hard/wanted to make something dope on these tracks. Also makes me appreciate Ye's longevity as far as relevance tbh lol

You talking like Dre doesn’t have 11 years on Kanye on a mainstream level
Let’s see where Ye is in 10 years

A couple of them are very good but there's no promotion and marketing behind them

Lol true
Just 11 years ago Kendrick Lamar got famous overnight solely cuz his name was attached to Dr. Dre and the Detox sessions.
Dre made a mistake not dropping the 2005 and 2010 versions of Detox though. He had amazing tracks in the vault but he was overthinking.

Yeah and Compton was some mid
Yeah and Compton was some mid
And still sold 300K first week as a side project without any singles lol
That was probably the last time he'll get any kind of mainstream shine though. 7 years are a lifetime in the streaming era. We had the entire careers of Juice Wrld, XXXTentacion and Pop Smoke inbetween Compton and those 6 songs. Kids these days don't care for Dr. Dre like we did.
Detox would've done 1 milli EASILY.

for sure, it’s really crazy how he didn’t drop anything else himself between 1999 and 2015

He fell under the pressure of the media that portrayed him as a musical genius who pushes music forward. In his mind his next album had to be some revolutionary s*** or it didn't have a right to exist.
Meanwhile look at Ye, in the last few years he allowed himself to drop some mid projects and he's still on top with a huge dedicated fanbase lol
"Don't leave while you're hot, that's how DRE screwed up"

Nip was very adamant about not wanting cosigns from the OGs. He wanted to do it his own way and not be compared. He got a offer to play Snoop in Straight Outta Compton but turned it down
