Nas is one of the greats but I believe (and probably the majority of people that listened to both) that alfredo is a better album. I getcha but
Plenty of people disagree including me

i said majority. MetaCritic and Rym both rate Alfredo higher in both Media reviews and audience reviews.

Well Nas was never the critics' darling, he's fully aware of it
Plus some of the reviews KD has received were downright unfair and biased for reasons that weren't about the music.

i wish more black media critics were prominent instead of these ppl who jump on Nas for a weird bar here and there or what happened outside of music
Honestly all the albums nominated for rap album of the year were very good and deserved the award. Wouldn't be mad with anyone winning it

What album do you think deserved a nomination and didn't get one?
None of the albums on that list have replay value. There i said it.
Nas album was the only one that deserved the nomination
They tried to make some kind of “real hip hop” statement for no reason
They snubbed my nigga Boldy. The Price of Tea in China should've been the rap album of the year. 2020 nominations were weak
Royce 5'9" lmao.

It's better than Alfredo but I don't expect the f***ing Grammys to be that real lmao
I love the feel of Freddie Gibbs music, f*** yeah I want more alchemist beats, and his pen game is respectable enough, but he has never had the intangible charm and delivery that the superstars have.
He just starts and doesn’t stop lol. And not in a “spazzing” kind of way.
There is no sense of timing, enunciation, or wit whatsoever. IMO.
The Nas album was way better for me.

Either Meet the Woo 2 or Descendants of Cain

I kinda see what you mean about Gibbs
He can work on it with someone like Hit-Boy guiding him imo
I don't believe King's Disease was a sympathy win because I don't know when the last time Nas received "sympathy" from a majority white organization. Like why tf would they care about showing Nas some sympathy when majority of his career he'd s*** on the Grammys?
Really weird to see how hard some of y'all will go to discredit a legitimately good album that was just as deserving of a Grammy as the album that didn't win. Even moreso when the artist in question y'all wanted to win doesn't give a f***.
Niggas would've probably said an album like A Written Testimony was a sympathy win if it won...and y'all know mothafuckin well that'd make no damn sense
It’s like when Marty won best director for The Departed.
It’s not Nas’ best, but the album is still great. I’m glad he got some recognition for it
Freddie had a better album, but I’m happy Nas won.
Hold up i said it before and im gonna say it again, i never heard a nigga say play freddie gibbs s*** outside of this site.
