what places are you referring to?
I forget the term we had for them when I was growing up, but like “homes for wayward kids”. Boystown was one term for it, behavioral rehab centers. Like Juvie but self-admitted, or your parents would send you there if you started a lot of s***
I’ll just leave it at f*** dr phil and anybody that love’em,
but I really don’t give a single s*** bout what ol girl gotta say especially in 2021
Idk about all that all i know is that supposedly Dr phil feels bad putting the girl on because she was clearly in need of mental health services but they chose to sell a story instead. Basically use her like a clown
Damn I forgot about shorty ass. It’s crazy how you can get on nowadays for being an ignorant ass child. A cultural reset is definitely needed IMMEDIATELY.
The part that bugs me is these kids wanna act grown until they get called out for doing dumb s***, and then immediately go back to playing the kid card
These places are all crawling with creeps, and thats being polite with the terminology. And whats crazy is I feel like there used to be more of them back in the day

Isnt that the entire premise of these shows

I mean are they not kids though ?
This is so sad who would put their child in this situation
the pandemic taught me that the last thing a lot of parents want to do is actually parent, and would dump their kids off to the next adult with the slightest semblance of authority.
tenuous on the music section part
I didn’t see you say a word about that thread on Kodak Black’s son and now you’re sticking your chest out?

Any time those tik tok house kids do dumb s***, they immediately chalk it up to being a kid. There's no accountability for these people in their late teens/early 20s who choose to make their lives everyone's business.

No offense dawg but y’all really don’t know what it’s like until y’all personally witness the situation.
People don’t do this because they don’t want to parent, for a lot they literally have NO options. I personally witnessed my mom go through this for years with my brother.
The kids acting out and disrespecting the parents is why these places exist to begin with.
Also not trynna make a blanket statement cus I’m not 100% sure but in my experience you can’t FORCE a teen to go to these rehabs.

i mean i kinda get it, when i was a kid i went to summer camp and thats kinda the same situation where anything can happen rly, but this feels more vengeful like youre so mad at ur kid u just give them away to the nearest person who claims to be capable of "fixing" them
i guess it all makes sense but damn its sad to hear about kids being abused

I can't speak for any specific situation, but after working in ABA for a couple years I learned how to identify and correct challenging behavior with all kinds of kids and I can attest to it's success. People in middle America like bhad bhabies family often don't have the education or the resources to get the education

I was the one who locked that thread im not on here all the time

Fair. You prob the only mod, right?
Fair. You prob the only mod, right?
Nah there’s a few
Definitely gonna need more though
I wouldn’t be surprised. Paris Hilton talked about this once too. Them “thereputic ranches” arenrampant with abuse.
It's known as the "Troubled Teen industry", it's very f***ed up and exploitative, lots of kids get hurt
These places are usually like concentration camps for troubled kids.
These guys show up in the middle of the night and tell you that you can come quietly or they’ll drag you away. They throw you in a car and you end up at a place you can’t leave and they abuse you until you’re too tired or hungry to talk back.
The parents essentially sign away all your rights to these camps and there’s nothing the kid can do.
