Did anyone else find this film extremely disappointing? Plot was goofy as s*** and it wasn't scary at all. This coming from someone who loves Mike Flanagan's work.

i watched it during a long ass break between lessons at uni and i was tired af so i fell asleep during some parts

also the directors cut is supposedly a lot better

The main villain was wearing a top hat & yoga leggings And for nearly immortal vampires her crew went out sad

She could suck the soul out of me too tho

I thought it was amazing. Worthy sequel to The Shining. Maybe not as good but that just can’t happen. Rose The Hat was one of my favorite villains of the 2010’s.

they gone say women hating but this true tho, the whole over the top magic tea me off like flying in the sky, eeehhh

somehow liked the final ending confrontation tho

Man i saw your review after i watched the theatrical cut on HBO Max, and then i realized that there was an "Extras" section on the HBO page for it that had the directors cut available 😩

Almost said f*** it and watched it right after the theatrical, but decided to wait for another time haha

i f***ing hated this movie when I saw it originally, maybe it was the screening I was at (college screening, people laughing). but the director's cut has me intrigued. in the original cut, i lost all interest once danny started shooting dudes at the ambush. felt super off to me.

this whole gypsy vampire s*** was just so goofy to me. it just isn't scary at all to me. she did the best she could with the character though.
