body cams have helped. without body cams, people would have never believed Ma'Khia Bryant was about to stab someone, and there would have been a new series of protests / riots

is that not true? body cams probably haven't reduced police killings, but they've led to greater awareness of police killings and they've also added necessary context around certain shootings. the only thing that would cause less shootings is better training and fewer laws

what is far right about saying body cams have prevented some false narratives from spreading? they have also ensured some true narratives spread. but I don't think anyone thought body cameras were gonna be a cure all. the only solution would be better training and that wouldn't even change that much. states just need to get rid of laws. why is selling loose cigarettes illegal? because big tobacco doesn't make enough money with their billions in profits?
