I hope Capcom hasn’t joined the $70 trend.. (We lost Bandai Namco with Tekken 8.)

Really hoping the game as a whole feels more fleshed out than the first.

    Will wait for a sale
I’ll probably be playing Unicorn Overlord in the meantime when DD2 launches.

$70 price tag was never gonna deter me. I was prepared to drop $200 for an Ultimate Edition.

Game preordered, now I just have to stay alive until March.

I highly recommend playing the first game, but if you’re playing it to primarily experience the story, you’re better off just watching a YouTube play through. Not really worth it. Game play mechanics, exploration, and dungeon crawling are what will have you hooked.

Pawn system is chef kiss. On 360 I went full on min/max with it. Made four profiles on my Xbox so I could make 4 different primary pawns and rent the remaining 3 on my main. This is after already putting in like 120+ hours. I wanted to make a specific team cause at the time it was expensive to rent high level pawns unless you were friends with the person. So decided to make my own tailored exactly how I wanted. At the time I had just got into Berserk too, and there was an official Berserk collab for the game in the 360 version. You could get Guts’ sword n armor pre-Black Swordsman gear. Then you could also get Griffith’s armor and sword. So naturally made Guts & Griffith into Pawns,

I’m pretty sure pc versions have full on mod’s available with black swordsman armor, and Femto

One thing I hope the sequel does, I hope it borrows from Dark Souls in making the enemies tougher on each subsequent ng+.

I tried it a couple months back but I just couldn't really get into it, it just felt dated and was kinda hard to figure out the menus and s*** (on pc)

After watching every video I can on this, my opinion has flipped a bit.

It just seems like you're constantly jumping on their back and wailing on them for an hour.

There's a bit more to it, but if you told me that was basically the entire game I would believe you. That's every boss fight. I need to see more of this game with something different.

Still have to play the first DD but what you described is basically Shadow of the Colossus and that's considered one of the best games of all time

That’s pretty much the first one too outside of magic and archer builds, plus some monster hunter-esque moves. At least that’s how I remember it back when I played the original on release

Yeah lol but it had a pretty interesting world with some cool exploration moments. It was also 2011 so gameplay has come a long way. Capcom makes some great gameplay focused games so I’m still optimistic on DD2

Melee was my least played so I didn’t really feel like that but I do think 2 is gearing the audience in the direction more since it’s such a key talking point of 1. Like we’ve already seen we can walk on the bosses now with access to all the skills and the footage of Mystic Spearhand outright teleporting on top of the chimera.
