You gotta see it from Drake's perspective, it was his olive branch to peace it up with one of his GOATS. Dude was rapping on the Barry Bonds beat in 2007.
The amount of love and respect he has for Ye as an artist is probably always gonna be part of him deep down, even if he never publicly acknowledges him again, I don't think he felt good about having a problem with Kanye, especially at that point, it wasn't really about much to him.
