Drake drops got mfs writing dissertations
I see I have two replies to this, but no notifications.
Tried to bring the drama to me, but they don’t know how I cha-cha slide
What’s everyone’s favorite song on the album?
This false though
Drake been knowing niggas like p reign since he was a teenager. He always stated he was never from the streets but that he was always around those type of people
i wasn't too sure tbh, like i said i don't really care if people are genuinely rapping/singing whatever about their experiences in music or not, i just need that s*** to sound good
people get way too caught up in authenticity at times imo
all im saying is that bringing up coke rappers (of all examples) that have actually did dirty s*** to try to excuse drake for his embellishing is just dumb
Publications that historically review white rock music slandering Drake for “lacking maturity” in his music is problematic and wrong on so many levels. Thread incoming when I have the time to break it down for y’all.
If what you are saying is the case rappers like Jay Z and Pusha should be more expected to push out mature content since being removed from the street s*** and never doing it again since they've done a lot of separation
Jay has, can't say the same for Push
Jay has matured yes but he still references street s*** and how far he’s came because it’s ingrained into who he is as a person.
As far as Pusha, he’s had moments of growth as his discography’s progressed, but he’s said in interviews that he views “Pusha T” as kind of an alter ego and that he separates his personal life from his music career. And he’s acknowledged that he knows exactly who his audience is, so he’s speaking directly to them whenever he makes an album

Privileged Rappers

Yeah your last point hits it right on the head.
I don’t need artists to be completely autobiographical all of the time for me to enjoy music, because it is entertainment at the end of the day, their job is to entertain us.
But it also makes no sense to compare Drake talking about street s*** with actual street rappers who were brought up in and around that lifestyle
What’s everyone’s favorite song on the album?
Atm spin bout u or On BS
Privileged Rappers
Hbu?
Probably Backoutsideboyz. It’s between that and Circo Loco right now, but I’m sure it’ll change as I listen more.

should've just left him to drool all over himself in peace

Whats so bad to admit that drake also dropped to great projects, and that yes, with the best songs of both album it would be better than mr morale

Kendrick stans on Twitter think they have the highest IQ in any room they in
Can’t comprehend how he dropped HNvm and Her Loss in the same 6 months. I adore both albums (HNvm is my fav 2022 album), but being able to create high quality music in both those creative spaces at the same time is absurd.
He’s 1 of 1
What’s everyone’s favorite song on the album?

Middle of the Ocean is great but I almost want to skip to the beat switch. Jumbotron S*** Poppin and Circo Loco right there tho
