damn idk this might really be AOTY with the people
This is what they needed
big W, album so fire, replay value is insane. classic fr
Wow this is really resonating with the people, an increased projection means that it’s getting a lot of word of mouth
You also can't deny the history of people trying to assign all the credit of Drake's most well-received projects to other people while downplaying Drake's own involvement. Till today, there are people who will act like the Weeknd made Take Care what it is when he only contributed to 5 songs and if you replace those 5 songs with the 5 Take Care-era songs on Care Package, you'd probably end up with a better album.
Then there's Quentin Miller's contributions to IYRTITL. He confirmed in his recent Rory/Mal interview that he was brought in when the mixtape was almost done and we all heard those references and we all know the difference in quality between them and the final songs following Drake's contributions to them.
No one is saying Yachty didn't contribute to Her Loss, but people need to be careful with acting like these people are the ones MAKING these songs what they are because Drake is always the one who makes it what it ends up being. At the end of the day, Yachty contributed creatively to 6 songs. There are 9 other songs Drake songs he didn't contribute to. I'm pointing this out now because it won't be long till you see people crediting Yatchy with the brilliance of the entire album while underplaying Drake's role.
😂😂 this is facts, but at this point in drakes career; I’m just over it. It’s so exhausting going back and forth with people that just don’t want to understand or just want to make baseless jokes. When the dust settles, I think it will be clear who is the best to ever do this s***.
And if people want to put an asterisk beside his name for doing the same thing others do in the game, on a much smaller scale, then so be it.
Their loss.

I’ve also seen Honesly Nevermind getting some hype off this album just being that good off the first listen.
Like there are quite a few of my friends who didn’t like HNVM and never gave it a chance that are going back to give that album another spin.

I can personally attest to that as well, HNVM been back in rotation since this dropped.

LOL. If he does 400K…
I love the album but is this a big w? seems like those numbers could be higher tbh
Nah collab albums always skew lower.
WATTBA only did 334K first week and that was during a time when sales were way higher across the board.
390K is huge for a collab album in 2022

biggest fw of a rap album this year and higher than the initial projections
for reference kendrick did like 295k after a 4 year break, this project was announced 2 weeks ago might do 400k which is more than wattba did during time were sale sin general were higher

Yes. Because billboards changed how streams are counted toward sales so things are scaled back from what they used to be.
Plus, he doesn’t do physicals/vinyls or 50 different versions of the album to stream.
