Maybe Drake should change his name. Is it time for his symbol era?
Change it to the stake logo
I 100% get the criticism and someone had a post about how Drake actually sounded more mature in his older albums and I think thereās some truth to that honestly. In my opinion and I donāt really have any proof for this, but there seems to be a switch in his approach to his career, sort of like a liberation I guess? Whether itās between the in and out of beef s*** and/or just accepting people are gonna have preconceived notions about him regardless of what he does, just seems like heās moving a lot more free in my eyes. May not be for everyone, but I think the quality of music is a clear indication heās having fun again and releasing the music that reflects who he isā¦.which letās be real a stupid rich, toxic bachelor who happens to be one of the most famous artists of this century. Even with how talented he is donāt think he could sell that heās relatable to normal ppl anymore lol
Yeah for sure, Iād prefer that to him forcing a 4:44 type album if he isnt there.

I feel like fans expect a 4:44 out of every rapper the moment they hit 35
So reductive
We wont get mature Drake in this decade btw
The definition of maturity is the problem. Drake seems the most wise out of his generation to me
The way he talks about navigating the industry etc. all the young rappers talk about the gems drake has given them etc + the inspiration
He just HAS FUN and doesnāt take himself too seriously.

Me too. Weāll get if/when weāre supposed to. Real as always Mitch

If he ever wants to do a deep album the title should Aubrey and the artist name should be The Boy

He sounded mature because he wasn't talking bout sticks and sending baka to chop heads or telling us how he is filthy rich

Happy 35th birthday Wiz Khalifa! Are you ready to drop your 4:44?
Id rather Drake makes the music he wants to then force 12 tracks about Adonis
Happy 35th birthday Wiz Khalifa! Are you ready to drop your 4:44?
Iād unironically love that I love when Wiz be rappin rappin
He sounded mature because he wasn't talking bout sticks and sending baka to chop heads or telling us how he is filthy rich
And then, life changed drastically!
Happy 35th birthday Wiz Khalifa! Are you ready to drop your 4:44?
Iām trying to sell you a million dollars worth of KK for 9.99
Id rather Drake makes the music he wants to then force 12 tracks about Adonis
Bro can't even do 12 tracks about Adonis because he's barely with him lmfao
I feel like fans expect a 4:44 out of every rapper the moment they hit 35

I feel like itās a small group that go that far tho and I wanna say it might almost be a straw man to put it like that
I donāt think most people who want a more balanced offering content wise are asking for 444. Thereās a whole lot of middle ground between the extremes of Her Loss and 444. NWTS is that bag.
Iād unironically love that I love when Wiz be rappin rappin
Wiz can rap fr itd just be crazy to hear a wiz khalifa album just focused solely on self reflection
i just dont think thats every rappers purpose.
Like Kendrick kinda had a moment like that w Mr Morale and I loved that, but idk if im going to like Future for that.
I do think Drake is capable of making an album like that, but he doesnāt seem like he wants to and if he doesnāt want to I donāt want him to. Artist should just follow their heart so Iām never hoping for that album, but im sure it he ever genuinely wanted to heād do an amazing job.
I'll be paying close attention to the AOTY lists in the year end threads. Gotta see where the substance and content is
after further review, this is drakeās most hollow album
itās also his least vulnerable
drake is basically the antithesis of kendrick in terms of values and content
on this album drake is hiding behind his money, popularity, etc more than ever
thereās no denying heās great at delivering raps but even that is in question cause i hear futureās writing behind a lot of the material and flows
i progressively feel more pity for drake because i can hear how empty his life must be based on this music heās standing behind
this album isnāt something iām going to run back over and over
S*** that s*** up man. He just dropped some vulnerable ass music earlier this year. This album wasnāt meant to be that. Itās fun, hard ass music
I feel like fans expect a 4:44 out of every rapper the moment they hit 35

Jay is the f***ing GOAT but letās be completely honest about 4:44, it took Jay cheating on f***ing Beyonce, catching the hands from Solange, Beyonce releasing a response album, and a potential divorce for him to drop it. Niggas act like he was Kareem out here dropping wisdom after a life of good deeds
Id rather Drake makes the music he wants to then force 12 tracks about Adonis
word
niggas always say they want artists to be real to themselves only to b**** when it actually happens
so many other artists out there, no one is being forced to listen to the GOAT
Like why every time content is mentioned everyone starts falling over themselves saying āno he canāt make a 444!ā Like thatās the only album with content ever
S*** that s*** up man. He just dropped some vulnerable ass music earlier this year. This album wasnāt meant to be that. Itās fun, hard ass music
