hereditarywith all due respect bc this is a common take…i never understood it
i guess i care less about albums as a playthrough experience because i just like artists dropping as many good songs as possible
I think it is something that took off bc of albums like Illmatic, Savage Mode, Beast Mode etc. but it really doesnt work for every artist. I love long albums more than short ones in general, but lots of today's musicians aren't consistent enough to make a 20 track album feel interesting.
