Spoilers about Chicago Night 2
Ait bout to critique the show. Y'all fanboys that weren't there or haven't been to one of his shows in the past 7 years zip it and keep your opinions to yourself.
First off I'm a true Papi's angels through and through. My papi for life. But I don't care if a Canadian God covered him in holy bacon maple oil this f\*\*\*in show shouldn't have been more than $150\. Got my ticket early for cheap from a reseller so not as pissed but for his lackluster performance ain't no way. This nigga was late. Performed remixes of his song the whole night. Old songs at that. The songs that really went up were way to sexy and search and rescue. Newer songs that he didn't remix or try to give trash vocals (who woulda thunk it Aubrey🙄)
My nigga why is 21 on this s\*\*\*. He performed for barely 30 mins. Was a way better performer that drizzy too. So y'all stans cut the bs lies. 21 was so much better. Like 100X times better.
The arena was small as s\*\*\*. Not sure what I expected but def not I was expecting. Nigga got him a big ass stage but chose to do a club set were niggas barely saw him. And for an arena that dj set was mid. Remixes weren't hitting. Then this nigga spent another 10 mins under the Virgil statue..like wtf you thinking nigga.
Not to add bruh had Usher in the arena. Ngl I had 2nd embarrassment seeing Usher watch the show.
But all in all, was dope seeing Papi. But never again :drakesmug:
A guy at my work was trying to flex that he spent $800 for floor seats for this s***
what else would you expect lmao

Sure he had a good time
That remix s*** where drake was pretending to be a dj was wack af ngl, also 21 was a mid ass performer
21 was def not mid at all
Out of all the things that were wrong, drake standing with the Virgil statue wasn’t one of them
S***tttt nigga shoulda been on stage or had virgil on stage
A guy at my work was trying to flex that he spent $800 for floor seats for this s***
Sorry you got flexed on
i'm just saying kendrick dont need no backtrack
Some of the songs have backing tracks. Some don’t. And when they do it’s usually just for the chorus. You can see from these tiktoks
How exactly does a show run late? Like what caused for the Detroit show to be 23 minutes late? I might be assuming too much of production + the artists but you would think these concerts run like well oiled machines
23 minutes late is practically early for a rap concert to start lmao, be thankful
i'm just saying kendrick dont need no backtrack
This isn't true. You'd be hard-pressed to find an arena-size rap or r&b show where the artist won't use backing vocals for certain songs, even if it's just for certain hooks and Drake doesn't use backing vocals for every song.
Bostom fam we almost there.
Tomorrow
I will be there

Only artist who I can think of who doesn’t is jay z

Jay Z uses backing vocals for some of his songs with big hooks. His problem with backing vocals is using them for the verses because he likes to rap those live.
Almost everyone uses backing vocals, some artists just use it more than others. It's not like some crime. The only artists you might not see using backing vocals are singer-songwriters who can perform an entire show with just a guitar or piano or make use of a live band.
I don't know if you've seen any videos from Beyoncé's tour but she's using a ton of backing vocals (even though she's also singing 90% of the time). She also isn't going too hard with the choreography but she's still putting on a great show every other night.

Cole uses a live band. All the beats are recreated with live instrumentation too. It’s kinda cool cause it gives a new take on his beats

Man when I saw the 4:44 tour it was no backing vocals and a full band playing the instrumentals stop lying
i'm just saying kendrick dont need no backtrack
Kendrick uses a backtrack, he just raps over every word and uses ad-libs when he forgets words

Nah he can't sing live so he uses backtrack on choruses, he raps every verse live

He used backing vocals on the On the Run tour. Same for when he toured with JT. Only for his hooks, but still. He used them.

Sometimes the backing track is turned down really low so the artists don't miss their cues but it's there and if you're not close to the stage, you won't pick it up. It's funny that some people think these major mainstream acts are performing with ZERO backing tracks throughout an entire tour. That rarely ever happens for rappers and R&B singers. They need several things to help them not miss cues and backing tracks are just one of those things. Their monitors are another. Their in-ears are another. It's not that big a deal.
