Remorse lyrical content and beat don’t match. You can tell it wasn’t the OG in retrospect

The beat always felt too whimsical for me, it’s nice but this version is so much more of a classic Drake feel

Demoitis is when you hear the demo so much and get used to it that the finished project feels inferior to you by nature of its differences (see a lot of Yandhi to JIK songs, Hurricane on Donda, etc)

Demoitis isn’t when you had the released song first but prefer the demo after it leaks. Almost complete opposite situations

Same thing happened with Scorpion, songs leaked from that era, people love them, and then say "OMG the OG Scorpion would have been incredible". People just love to hate on anything Drake officially releases. Story old as time.

Like @mm6margiela said, The Remorse sounds like a parody Drake outro. The production is pretty, but it’s also pretty boring and forgettable at the same time.

This version is a lot more lively but they probably couldn’t get the sample cleared so they had to rework the whole song
