I'm aware, the point is that it's really not farfetched for Drake to have been offered it

This last Super Bowl was the most watched in history

You're right the last 2 years numbers went up

Y'all don't think they wanted him when Sicko Mode, God's Plan and that KeKe song was popping off?

Prob just didn't want to be overexposed at the time

Headlining vs being a guest kind of matters. Obviously nobody knows for sure but I doubt Drake is gonna decline being the first rapper in history to headline his own Super Bowl

All those other things aside isn't it pretty reasonable that Drake was offered the Super Bowl if Taylor, The Weeknd, Rihanna and Usher have all been offered it?

It's really not far fetched at all lol

It would had to have happened after Roc nation got the deal with nfl so its def possible they were considering it, but the part about him turning it down is pure cap

  • WT777

Way to not answer the question. What does that have to do with drake no longer having the clout he had in 2023 per your post Zackary? You said 2013 to 2023 not 2024 for a reason, now you playing dumb

I know that you aren't that well-versed when it comes to stuff like this so I will help you out. It's all about moments. It's Kendrick's moment RIGHT NOW. They don't care about him, hip-hop or anything other than the money and press that follows. Kendrick is the right pick for that right now.
Drake is still #1 but #1 isn't always the correct pick for an event.

to headline tho or to guest? i feel like a lot of acts have gotten a guest offer but decline. That happened especially when Maroon 5 had to end up with Big Boi and Travis.

We usually had an idea in prior years which names were around the decision board.

Also lol at this being mentioned all of a sudden

I agree they didn't even have a rap artist at any of them in the 2010s

I do think it's pretty plausible he turned it down though

Idk but he could be standing in solidarity of Kaepernick and not want to sell out like certain fake niggas cough Hov cough

Or because they exploit artists. There is not payment for the performance and you actually have to foot the bill out of pocket. Drake hasn't needed a superbowl and probably never will

The thought of Drake not being a sell out

    Let’s explore reason.

You think it’s more reasonable for him to have declined the superbowl and never mention it until the person that beat him in a rap announces he is headlining

Or that Mal is lying about this moment to ease the blow like Drake has done with the Grammys times before.

    Which is more reasonable?

  • Yeezydawg

Hey lil bro, the NFL didn’t start showing real love to hip hop artists until Jay Z partnered with them in 2020

No s***. They only follow the money. Drake was the money during the period that I mentioned so they have reached out. I reckon multiple times.

Besides, you lot been spending months claiming Drake is a pop artist... Now he's suddenly hip-hop? Funny, that

I would say it's pretty reasonable regardless of the beef or not

Taylor has been declining for years apparently

And we just so happen to hear about it the same week Kendrick announces.

Taylor declining is known. She didn’t tell us after losing a beef to Ariana

What’s funny is Drake thinking “we fed you that pic” would cover it up because he actually thought someone on his team sent dot that pic

And it could’ve worked but Drake didn’t take into account the possibility that the pic came from somewhere else lol
